Microsoft Cuts Price of Vista By 48 Percent

In an unprecedented decision, Microsoft on Thursday announced its plans to lower the retail prices of its not-so-great OS Windows Vista.

Microsoft plans to drop the price of Vista Ultimate $299 to $219, while Home Premium could falls to $129, from $159.

This could give the much needed push for its struggling sales compared to XP.

However I think Microsoft should concentrate more on fixing the bugs in Vista rather than some price cuts. That can eventually save its fortune, not a desperate act of price cut.
