Guy Kawasaki announces the Launch of Alltop - A News Aggregator

Guy Kawasaki today announced the opening of Alltop, a news aggregation site that provides all the top stories for forty of the most popular topics on the Web.

Alltop is a collection of "single-page aggregations" containing all the top stories about popular topics such as sports, gaming, science, small business, politics, environment, Macintosh, fashion, celebrities, and world news.

So in a way it replaces the RSS feed aggregators.

I checked it for a while. There is nothing extraordinary with the service. That is what I felt.

All it does is lists the recent news/posts in the specific category, with a brief summary of the news.

I didn't feel that exitement which you normally expect from a new service, and that too from someone like Guy Kawasaki. Moreover, the Alltop logo/footer in the site was bit annoying for me.

Check it here to get a feel for yourself.
